I am a United Kingdom citizen, living in England. I have GCE 'A' levels in maths and physics, but do not have a degree. On leaving school I trained as a broadcast technician with the BBC.

My career included a wide variety of work as a broadcast technician, as a journalist and later as a company director. I have now taken early retirement.

My interests include electronics, telecommunications, broadcasting, free and open source software, 20th century history and the Cold War.

You can test out editing in the sandbox if you'd like. If you need help to get going, the forum is one option. That's also where we discuss policy and proposals. You can ask any user or the editors for help, too. Just put a note on their "talk" page. Again, welcome and have fun!Fred Salsbury 06:01, 9 January 2007 (CST)
