"I don't know anything."
But you know enough to help stop vandalism within a few minutes of getting here. Good show. =D Shanya Almafeta 21:58, 30 January 2007 (CST)
I am from Barcelona, I know nothing, Si Mañuel

Erm...
Would you please stop copying Wikipedia content over? Shanya Almafeta 20:53, 31 January 2007 (CST)
it would be better to ask WHY did you try to clone WP here? Robert Tito 21:05, 31 January 2007 (CST)
- I copied templates that were needed for the article Joseph Smith, Jr.. Most of these are very good general purpose templates ... do we not use Harvard referencing here? There's no need for Citizendium to write its own templates when the ones from WP are perfectly good. And, if we're not supposed to copy content over, why is there a checkbox (hit by default, I might add) especially to designate your post as originating from Wikipedia? No pun intended, it was quite amazing how much you were copying from WP to CZ. It made me laugh - that much was thrown over the line. but you are correct - it we can borrow from WP and extend further that is precisely what CZ intends to do, but in a better tested and content-ensured environment Robert Tito 21:29, 31 January 2007 (CST)
I have one iron-clad rule I will insist on with regard to copying WP material over, and that is that you intend to develop it further, and maintain it, here on CZ. Copying it here just so that CZ has a copy of work that is maintained on WP is pointless: we want active articles.
Copying copious templates is OK, also, only if they are actually good templates, and not just self-indulgent cruft, of which there is so much on WP.
I make no judgments as to what the facts are in this case--just stating the rules as I would like to enforce them. --Larry Sanger 21:40, 31 January 2007 (CST)
