I have been a teacher/lecturer for more than 30 years in New Zealand, Australia & China. I originally trained as a Microbiologist and worked in the areas of food science, environmental health & environmental science for many years before retraining as an English teacher in 2003. During that time I have written laboratory manuals, workbooks and handbooks for students. In 2005 I moved to China to teach oral English. I now teach Academic English, especially writing to first year students at a private English language university in Guangdong Province.
