I am a Special Education Teacher at Mt. Dora High School in Mt. Dora FL. I served 4 years in the United States Marine Corps where I attained an interest in World History.  After serving my country I spent several years working in jobs with little or not personal satisfaction.  After graduating from Eckerd College in St. Petersburg Florida in 2003 my wife encouraged me to look into teaching and to follow the footsteps of my father, who was also a teacher.  I stumbled across this site while researching the Union blockade of the Confederacy for my Social Studies class.
