Richard Havers is the co-author of Bill Wyman’s Blues Odyssey and Rolling with the Stones as well as his own illustrated biography of Frank Sinatra – Sinatra, published in 2004, and translated into German and French for publication in 2005. Richard spent twenty years working in the airline industry before deciding to pursue his passion for music. He began working in advertising, going on to write and produce over 2000 ads and jingles. He has made videos, produced in-flight radio shows for airlines, launched one of Turkey’s first commercial radio stations, and produced concerts for artists that includes Paul McCartney, the Beach Boys, Chicago and America. Blues Odyssey won the Blues Foundation's Keeping The Blues Alive Award For Literature in 2002. He has co-written Read’s Musical Reciter (published by Sutton Publishing Autumn 2004), Bill Wyman’s Treasure Islands (Sutton Publishing spring 2005) and Bill Wyman’s Stones – A History in Cartoons (Sutton Publishing April 2006). He has also written Bent Rej’s The Rolling Stones – In The Beginning (Mitchell Beazley August 2006) and Here Is The News (Sutton Publishing July 2007). He has co-authored My Take, Gary Barlow’s autobiography (Bloomsbury Publishing October 2006), Bowie, Bolan & The Brooklyn Boy, Tony Visconti’s autobiography (Harper Collins February 2007) and Airline Confidential (Sutton Publishing June 2007). His published articles have appeared in The Daily Telegraph, The Times, and Record Collector, he’s written sleeve Notes for various record labels and Appears regularly on radio and occasionally on TV, usually talking about music.
