I am a senior at a high school in Minnesota, and am taking various advanced placement classes, such as AP European History and AP Humanities.  In the fall of this year I will either be attending Reed College in Portland, Oregon or Macalester College in St. Paul, MN.  Since my sophomore year I have been involved in various activist clubs, such as Amnesty International and other organizations (especially those related to the situation in Darfur).  I enjoy reading many different varieties of literature--ranging from non-fiction political and philosophy to all sorts of classics.  My favorite author is currently a tie between Kurt Vonnegut and George Orwell.
