I am a Polish American of Jewish descent, born in Russia, who used to work also in Canada. My main field is mathematics. I have also contributed to technology (GAPP). I am rather seriously interested in poetry, while chess is my hobby (wei qi is more profound but unfortunately I played wei qi not many times). This is already fifty words, isn't it?

My Ph.D. adviser was Professor Karol Borsuk. I taught and/or did research at several universities and institutes, including The University of Warsaw, The Moscow State University, The University of Michigan (Ann Arbor), The University of Texas (Austin), The Institute for Advanced Study (Princeton), The University of Western Ontario. I also worked or consulted for Environmental Institute of Michigan, Martin Marietta (Orlando), Lockheed (mainly Palo Alto), Wiltel (The Woodlands, Texas), and a number of other companies. My most successful invention is Geometric-Arithmetic Parallel Processor (GAPP).
