I need to do three things to this article to make it meet certain quality standards:

• Finish it, obviously!
• Place references in
• Take out some of the bias creeping in (Its hard when writing about a figure like Edward not to start throwing about labels like 'giant among men' etc.)

Please, add and edit to this, needs a lot of work.
