Well, actually, I DO have something to add NOW.
I have just posted a suite of articles:
* [[Stage (geology)]] | |||
* [[Age (geology)]] | |||
* [[Chronostratigraphy]]
* [[Geochronology]] | |||
* [[Geochronometry]] | |||
My idea is that those relatively simple articles will serve as a base to write the big ones: [[geologic time scale]], [[stratigraphy]], [[GSSP]] and perhaps a timeline of the events in geologic time.
If there is some Earth scientist around, please take a look, edit and comment! Either in my discussion page or in the discussions of the relative articles.
If instead you are NOT an Earth scientist, please take a look anyway! I need feedback also for the style, and anything else you might find odd or wrong. Ciao! Thanks!

Hello everybody.
I am a researcher in Earth Sciences at the University of Padova, Italy. My specializations are stratigraphy, carbonate sedimentology and regional geology of the Southern Alps (which is a structural domain of the Alps, not the New Zealand's mountain chain!)
While I am reasonably skilled in my field of study, I am new at wikis (just posted an article in Wikipedia, my first one...). Thus, be patient if my work looks a little messy. I'll get better doing it.
Not much to add at the moment but you might like to look at my CV here.
