Warcraft is a series of games, books and comics created by Blizzard Entertainment based on the original real-time strategy game Warcraft: Orcs & Humans and most famously including the massively multiplayer online role-playing game World of Warcraft.
The series consists of:
- Three real-time strategy games:
- Warcraft: Orcs & Humans
- Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness which has two expansion packs
- Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos which has one expansion pack
- One MMORPG, World of Warcraft, which has two released expansion packs and a third due to be released in 2010
- A role-playing game, originally released as Warcraft: The Roleplaying Game but later rereleased as World of Warcraft: The Roleplaying Game
- Three board games:
- A collectible miniature wargame, World of Warcraft Miniatures Game
- A collectible card game, World of Warcraft Trading Card Game
- A large quantity of fantasy fiction novels beginning with Warcraft: Day of the Dragon
- A number of comics beginning with Warcraft: The Sunwell Trilogy
- A quarterly magazine, The Official World of Warcraft Magazine
- An as-yet-unnamed, unreleased movie
