:They were pretty ubiquitous for a while -- you must have heard "Goodnight, Irene" at some point, that's truly a worldwide standard. Or so I think. They musta sung just about *every* great 'Merkin folksong before others got around to it. - They were pretty ubiquitous for a while -- you must have heard "Goodnight, Irene" at some point, that's truly a worldwide standard. Or so I think. They musta sung just about *every* great 'Merkin folksong before others got around to it.
