I wrote this article for Citizendium in April, 2007, using DANFS as a primary source. A small part of it, primarily the table and boilerplate about commissioning/decommissioning dates, etc., appeared in Wikipedia. I improved the table, rewrote most of the boilerplate, and added the bulk of the article from DANFS. I intend to wikify the DANFS material as I work on the various AKA articles. I postponed doing it because there is a need for extensive coordination of geographical names and military unit names with the other articles. [[User:Louis F. Sander|Louis F. I wrote this article for Citizendium in April, 2007, using DANFS as a primary source.
