==Project Description==
==Project ==

This [[CZ:Eduzendium|Eduzendium]] project is the first of four components of a multi-genre research and writing project (described in full [http://www.ilstu.edu/~sgelbma/igrp.pdf here]). In addition to writing encyclopedia articles about individual interest groups, POL 214 students will write opinion essays that use their peers' encyclopedia articles as a research springboard, letters to the editor that respond to their peers' opinion essays, and compositions that reflect on their research and writing process. Grant funding to develop this project was provided by the [http://www.ctlt.ilstu.edu/ Center for Teaching, Learning, and Technology] at Illinois State University.
This [[CZ:Eduzendium|Eduzendium]] project is

==What We'll Be Working On==
The following is a list of articles that the members of POL 214 will be working on during the Fall 2009 semester. These articles will be closed to editing by other citizens until after the conclusion of the course, though we'd appreciate hearing any comments or suggestions you might have on their respective talk subpages.
In the name of good research, good writing, and positive contributions to the online community, you and a partner are responsible for creating a Citizendium entry. Your article should be relevant to your field of study and can focus on an influential person, a specific idea or mode of thought, a technical term, etc.

For each of the articles you plan to have your students work on, please add a line of the form <nowiki>{{r_EZ|Title of your course's article 1}}</nowiki>, which will display as
{{r_EZ|Title of your course's article 1}}
{{r_EZ|Title of your course's article 2}}
{{r_EZ|Title of your course's article 3}}
{{r_EZ|Title of your course's article 4}}
etc.

Once the articles have been created, they will be listed here in the following formatting:
{{r_EZ|Education}}

The course mechanics

Eduzendium courses need a number of help pages in order to function properly within the Citizendium. This course homepage and all its standard subpages have been set up with the standard names in their standard location: A template article to prefill the students's pages with course-specific formatting and content, a template for the metadata of your course's article, and a note informing other Citizens whether they are allowed to edit your course's pages or not. Please modify these pages as you see fit. If you are done, you can delete the whole section The course mechanics from your course homepage.
