Lydia Martin is a professional musician, writer and visual artist. Her writing is both fiction and non-fiction writing on science, philosophy and social issues. She is a multi-instrumentalist playing classical and traditional folk music of North America and Europe. Her interest in visual arts was inspired by her mother, Jeanean Songco Martin, who is a professional artist and studied fine arts at the Maryland Institute College of Art. Lydia Martin's artwork consists of narrative images from fiction and urban landscapes, done in charcoal, pencil, oil paint, ink and watercolor.
