Uruzgan Province is a mountainous province in south-central Afghanistan, north and east of provinces on the Pakistani border and approximately 230 km southwest of Kabul. Its capital is Tarin Kowt and it has five districts. The population, mostly living in rural areas, are largely Pashtun people of the Durani tribe, and there are many Hazara too.
