Here's an excellent opportunity to apply the principle that we should lead an article with an explanation of the reason the person is famous.  I might state that "He ordered the construction of the Great Pyramid at Giza" and "The Greeks named him Cheops" in the first couple of sentences.  However, I say this only as a rough guide--anyway, cf.
