While I am reasonably skilled in my field of study, I am new at wikis (just posted an article in Wikipedia, my first one...). Thus, be patient if my work looks a little messy. I'll get better doing it.

Not much to add at the moment but you might like to look at my CV here.

Well, actually, I DO have something to add NOW.
There is a Global warming article under writing at the moment, and it seems I am the only editor who can handle it. Big responsability! And a lot of work. I often cannot keep up with the discussion going on there. ARE YOU A CLIMATOLOGIST? Then, please, contribute to this article. As you can see from my CV, this is not my principal field of expertise.
I have just posted a suite of articles:
* Stage (geology)
* Age (geology)
* Chronostratigraphy
* Geochronology
* Geochronometry
My idea is that those relatively simple articles will serve as a base to write the big ones: geologic time scale, stratigraphy, GSSP and perhaps a timeline of the events in geologic time.

If there is some Earth scientist around, please take a look, edit and comment! Either in my discussion page or in the discussions of the relative articles.

If instead you are NOT an Earth scientist, please take a look anyway! I need feedback also for the style, and anything else you might find odd or wrong. Ciao! Thanks!

::This is a top priority for CZ. I can handle it at the level of a "good start" I'd like another editor, perhaps oceanographer or atmospheric scientist, could take it up, actually, because I will not able to bring it all the way to approval (not my specific topic).

Hello everybody.

I am a researcher in Earth Sciences at the University of Padova, Italy. My specializations are stratigraphy, carbonate sedimentology and regional geology of the Southern Alps, which is a structural domain of the Alps, not the New Zealand's mountain chain! By the way, there is a "Southern Alps" mountain chain also in Japan (thanks to Thomas Simmons who signaled it to me).

Not much to add at the moment but you might like to look at my CV here.

Hot topic

There is a Global warming article under writing at the moment, and it seems I am the only editor who can handle it. Big responsability! And a lot of work. I often cannot keep up with the discussion going on there. ARE YOU A CLIMATOLOGIST? Then, please, contribute to this article. As you can see from my CV, this is not my principal field of expertise.

Biases that I know about

(feel free to edit here!)

 • I believe Thomas Kuhn's view of science, as explained in "The Structure of Scientific Revolutions", is wrong, while I agree with Karl Popper's "Logic of the Scientific Discovery".
 • I believe Italo Calvino is the best Italian writer of ever, and perhaps one of the 10 best writers of the world.
