I am a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at Northwestern University in Chicago.  I have a PhD in Mechanical Engineering and a doctoral minor in High-Performance Computing Applications from The Pennsylvania State University (Go Lions!).  My research is in the area of biofluid dynamics and muscle mechanics, and I study the biomechanical mechanisms underlying swallowing disorders and acid reflux disease.
