Who is Sama Agahi:
I am a graduate student in theoretical philosophy at Stockholm University, Sweden. My PhD-project is on the problem of logicality which (very) roughly is the problem of finding a good answer to the question 'what is logic?'. The aim of my research is primarily to delineate what the problem is about, including formulating it in more informative ways than the question above, and providing a framework for theories of logicality. Hopefully the framework will reveal the different ways in which theories of logicality can differ and enable more systematic comparisons between different theories of logicality. The secondary aim, which feeds into the primary one, is to reconstruct the debate over the logicality of second-order logics by means of the suggested framework.
Logic, the philosophy of logic, the history of logic, and any kind of logical deviance interests me. Other philosophical interests include the philosophy of mathematics (especially structuralism), mereology and the philosophy of religion.
Non-philosophical interests include, coffee and Philip Roth.
