I am a 75 year old M.D. alumnus of Amsterdam University in 1958. Starting as a ship's surgeon in the Royal Netherlands Navy, I continued as a general practitioner in a small town. At the age of 40 once more I changed career and became an occupational physician in the paper-producing-industry, finishing my working life as director of the Occupational Health Department of KLM Royal Dutch Airlines at Schiphol Airport Amsterdam. I am an Academician in the International Academy of Aviation and Space Medicine.
