I've been diving since 1989 and am avid wreck diver, cave diver and technical diver.

I moved around as a youth but planted roots behind the "Orange Curtain" in beachy Orange County, CA and spent my spare time in and around the beaches you see on TV.

I pay the bills as a program manager at a software company and am a director of San Diego Underwater Explorers. Composed of educators, explorers and conservationists, this group not only conducts exploration but also is interested in developing projects for local and state governments focusing on diver safety. I also blog on Scuba, technology and travel.

I live in San Diego with my wife April and our 3 rescued dogs. I dive predominately in the Southern California area and enjoy practicing underwater videography and photography in here and in the extensive cave system of the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico.
