Dr. Bernhard Jakob Schaller (born 1969) is a Swiss physician and scientific researcher known for his pioniering work to the trigemino-cardiac reflex, a reflex that leads mainly to severe hypotension and bradycardia during skull base surgery.
Schaller was born in Basel and studied medicine at University of Basel. Afterwards he began his medical and scientific career in Basel and continued his career in Germany, France, Sweden, Finland and Russia.
