Lake Simcoe is a relatively shallow lake in Ontario. It is located in the southern tip of Ontario with relatively good farmland because it is covered by soil scraped from the Canadian Shield by recent ice ages.
It is located approximately 80 kilometres from both Lake Ontario and Lake Huron. The medium sized cities of Barrie, Ontario and Orillia, Ontario are located beside the lake.
