It seems to be the consensus that Citizendium is undergoing a crisis on multiple fronts. Of these I only recognize as legitimate concerns our financial difficulties and unspectacular growth (or decline). I don't understand why so much time and energy was spent in the forums and with e-mails when we should all be busy producing quality articles. It's the same reason why I am not particularly interested in running for this position. Issues such as one's professionalism and credentials are important but definitely not something to fight over. We need to become a community that is cooperative and encouraging to one another. If we were to show this consistently people who departed will come back, and the project should hopefully get back one track.
