::Both. As I remember, Heinlein alludes to it in ''Grumbles from the Grave'', which I don't have at hand -- I recall Smith told him that he could not possibly submit it to a publisher of the time. Heinlein himself had a great deal of problem with his early, exceptionally child-oriented editors; I hope Hayford might elaborate since he may have some direct knowledge. [[User:Howard C. - Both. As I remember, Heinlein alludes to it in Grumbles from the Grave, which I don't have at hand -- I recall Smith told him that he could not possibly submit it to a publisher of the time.
