The Airbus A-340 is a four engine commercial aircraft built by EADS in Toulouse, France. Prior to the sales launch of the aircraft, the project was given a temporary name of TA-11. The A-340 shares a common 222 inch wide fuselage as the Airbus A-330. [1] The A-340 was first flown on October 25, 1991.
