:I think this article is quite confused. "Dai Viet" is a former name Vietnam that was used in the Middle Ages. Here it is presented as a "kingdom," as if it something different than Vietnam. The name was used officially in various dynasties and in two separate historical periods, so it doesn't really work as the name of historical period either. - I think this article is quite confused. "Dai Viet" is a former name Vietnam that was used in the Middle Ages. Here it is presented as a "kingdom," as if it something different than Vietnam.
