Dutch trading group

IIRC, weren't they restricted to an island in Nagasaki harbour for most of that period? If you like, I can try and find a source that talks about it in detail. J. Noel Chiappa 10:24, 1 April 2008 (CDT)

Thanks, that would be great! Yes, officially Dutch traders were confined to an island and not allowed onto the mainland after a curfew. As to whether any did manage to get into town for sake and sushi, I would suspect so. John Stephenson 23:43, 1 April 2008 (CDT)
