Leadwort is the common name for various shrubs and herbs in the genus Plumbago, especially P. auriculata.

All leadworts need warm, frost-free conditions and well-drained, loamy soil. The commonly cultivated types can be grown as hedges, border plants, or supported by trellises and fencing. They are propagated by seed in the spring, or by cuttings at any time of year.
