Lynn De Jonghe's career in progressive education spans forty years. From 1998 to 2007, Lynn served as Head of School at Windrush School in El Cerrito CA, a K-8 progressive school accredited by CAIS and WASC. From 1983 to 1990 Dr. De Jonghe served as the founding Head of East Bay Sierra School, which later merged with another school to form Prospect Sierra School, to become one of the preeminent schools in the Bay Area. She served as Middle School Head of the Athenian School in Danville from 1991 to 1998.

At each of these schools, Dr. De Jonghe has been known as a dynamic, vigorous leader of thriving educational programs. The hallmarks of her leadership are clear educational vision, strong strategic planning, innovative curriculum design, and passionate commitment to diversity and inclusivity. Over the years Lynn has developed a reputation as a collaborative leader, an empathic and visionary educator, and a warm, supportive colleague who is able to see and appreciate the light side of issues with a gentle sense of humor.

Lynn De Jonghe received her BA degree in History from Harvard University and a MS in Library Science from Simmons College before completing her PhD in Education at Cornell University.
