I am a software architect primarily specializing (at the moment) in Java (desktop, Web and enterprise). Previously, I was the principle developer on several award-winning and number-one selling computer games developed by FTL Games (now defunct). I wrote "Java Game Programming for Dummies", ISBN 0764501682. I have taught Java programming (basic, advanced, concurrent and enterprise) for the University of California, San Diego Extension program. I have also presented on game programming at the JavaOne conference.
In addition to my professional involvement in software engineering, I have an interest in poker and probability.
