Zeitgeist is a conspiracy theorist web film produced by Peter Joseph. It presents a number of conspiracy theories relating to the origins of Christianity (and other religions), 9/11, and the Federal Reserve Bank. On November 10, 2007 at the 4th Annual Artivist Film Festival & Artivist Awards, a remastered version was released. It argues that Jesus was a mythical creation (see Jesus mythicism), that the attacks on the World Trade Centre were planned by the government to increase fear and set the climate for war in Afghanistan and Iraq and that the Federal Reserve Bank is being secretly controlled by a conspiracy of rich bankers and businessmen. The end result of this social control is a totalitarian One World Government. It has been a huge success on Google Video, but has been critically panned: "like the John Birch Society on acid"[1].
