William Kristol (born 1952) is an American political scientist. He is the founder of the Weekly Standard, and a Republican Party (United States) strategist. He was chief of staff to Vice President Dan Quayle and U.S. Secretary of Education William Bennett. He is the son of Irving Kristol, dean of neoconservatism.
