Thanks a lot for the very useful lead. Having initiated the Aspartame stub, I'm pleased to have "boldly" dumped a big heap of very important information, which some of us can carve into a decent, useful article. A lot of lengthly quotations have to be reduced to one-liners, and much has to be summarized.

I will be interested to see if competent others share my view that the 1496 archived posts in aspartameNM@yahoogroups.com qualify as the best trustworthy source for information about aspartame, especially its toxicity issues. Two posts are citations in the Wikipedia Aspartame Controversy article.

Is the Aspartame stub already open to the public, or only to registered Citizendiums? In mutual service, Rich Murray

Thanks, I didn't know that it was open to the public already. In the next two weeks I'll be editing it more to Citizendium standards, and remove any direct quotes that have the slightest chance of being problematic re copyright. Rich Murray 13:21, 5 December 2007 (MST)

Some tips

Dear Mr. Murray,

Here are a few items I'll hope you will bear in mind as you continue to work on CZ.

(1) Copyright infringement is absolutely forbidden. If you continue to post copyright infringement, you'll be banned from the website. I'm sorry to be so blunt, but we take this seriously. This is one main reason why methanol was deleted.

(2) Please do not post--certainly not to CZ articles--the e-mail addresses or other personal information of, well, anybody.

(3) Items (1) and (2) indicate to me that you might not realize exactly what we are doing here on CZ. When we post articles, we intend them not to be rough notes and observations that others can work into a coherent narrative. Rather, we expect each version of an article essentially to be able to stand on its own. What you posted on aspartame and methanol were not encyclopedia articles, as I'm sure you know, but only the roughest of notes that probably only you can fully understand. You're welcome to use CZ for such notes, but please restrict them to your own namespace. You could put them on a subpage of your user page. For instance, you could put them on User:Richard T Murray/Notes. Several people use subpages of their user pages, in this way, to develop articles.

Also, just a piece of advice -- it would help others to interact with you if you would reduce your user page (i.e., User:Richard T Murray) to just one (or two at most) coherent paragraphs about yourself.
