Konstantin, you said on your user page: "I am starting to think they would reject any major rewrites, even if only out of pride." But that will be true even if we do fork, right? We will have to change most articles a great deal in order to get them into an approvable state. Then, indeed, Wikipedians will not want to take the articles back. Contributing here was never a good strategy for improving Wikipedia itself, I think. The purpose of contributing here is to create something that will--eventually--become better than Wikipedia ever has a chance of becoming. But there is no way to avoid going through huge amounts of work, whether or not we fork. --Larry Sanger 16:04, 21 January 2007 (CST)
