Welcome Page

Welcome to the Citizendium! We hope you will contribute boldly and well. You'll probably want to know how to get started as an author. Just look at CZ:Getting Started for other helpful "startup" links, and CZ:Home for the top menu of community pages. Be sure to stay abreast of events via the Citizendium-L (broadcast) mailing list (do join!) and the blog. Please also join the workgroup mailing list(s) that concern your particular interests. You can test out editing in the sandbox if you'd like. If you need help to get going, the forums is one option. That's also where we discuss policy and proposals. You can ask any constable for help, too. Me, for instance! Just put a note on their "talk" page. Again, welcome and have fun! Matt Innis (Talk) 19:11, 16 October 2007 (CDT)

Way to go!

You even got the subpages![1] Good work. I just wanted to make sure whether the information was from wikipedia(or some other source)? --Matt Innis (Talk) 19:39, 17 October 2007 (CDT)

UK flag caption

Hi. I thought the caption [UK flag] was a mistake. Are you sure that's right? Put it back if you like, sorry about that. --Martin Baldwin-Edwards 20:23, 23 October 2007 (CDT)

The image text is not CZ policy, although soebody has written the guidelines as if they are. This is a problem, and it is not your fault. I have removed the CIA credit line, see Talk with Larry Sanger. --Martin Baldwin-Edwards 15:01, 24 October 2007 (CDT)

No, you didn't make a mistake: the fault lies with other people. Keep up the good work! --Martin Baldwin-Edwards 17:20, 24 October 2007 (CDT)

I think we should give it a yellow background. See CZ:Reusing Media Hosted at Citizendium. You can rob from Template:Cc-by-nc-sa-3.0 and Template:Attribution to make it! Stephen Ewen 19:26, 27 October 2007 (CDT)

Moving pages

Hi Eddie, yes I can move pages, but I only get to move them when there is a technical problem with the naming. When there is a 'content' issue like the one you explain, it becomes an editor issue. They also are able to move pages. So the process is basically that you bring up a discussion on the talk page or bring it to any of the workgroup editor's talk pages and ask them to take a look. After that we have to trust their judgement. Sounds like you have a good argument, let's see what happens. --Matt Innis (Talk) 20:08, 27 October 2007 (CDT)

Careful....

CZ International

Hi! I’m just letting people who have expressed an interest in CZ International know that there is now a proposal on the table.

Please discuss its feasibility at: CZ:Proposals/Internationalisation sandbox in the Discussion area.

Feel free to help develop the proposal, as well.

We'll also need "drivers".

If you've got no idea what I'm talking about, please refer to: CZ:Proposals/New and CZ:Proposals
