Welcome to the Citizendium! We hope you will contribute boldly and well. Here are pointers for a quick start. You'll probably want to know how to get started as an author. Just look at CZ:Getting Started for other helpful "startup" links, and CZ:Home for the top menu of community pages. Be sure to stay abreast of events via the Citizendium-L (broadcast) mailing list (do join!) and the blog. Please also join the workgroup mailing list(s) that concern your particular interests. You can test out editing in the sandbox if you'd like. If you need help to get going, the forums is one option. That's also where we discuss policy and proposals. You can ask any constable for help, too. Me, for instance! Just put a note on their "talk" page. Again, welcome and have fun! D. Matt Innis 22:48, 7 December 2008 (UTC)

Topic Informant

Hi David, we've been working on your article about NSR and notice that you are the founder of this technique. If that is the case, we need to set you up as a [Topic Informant. Look over that page as well as the CZ:Policy on Self-Promotion and we'll get you set up properly. Thanks! D. Matt Innis 01:33, 13 December 2008 (UTC)

Hello again David, I set you up as a Topic Informant. See CZ:Topic Informant Workgroup. Please do stop by the article and let us know if we are missing anything. D. Matt Innis 01:54, 13 December 2008 (UTC)

David, do feel free to make changes in that article on the talk page. It will go much quicker rather than me trying to explain it. Just make a note in a new section of the talk page to let me know what you changed and I'll take it from there. D. Matt Innis 23:39, 13 December 2008 (UTC)

Matt, please forgive me for the delay of almost two years. I've been busy on a number of projects and trying to improve Wikipedia (it can be very difficult to make progress when there are difficult policies (especially the preference for secondary sources over primary sources) and edit wars). I'll take a look here. I hope this encyclopedia is better. At least you understand that some people have more expertise on any given topic than other people. David Spector 01:53, 15 April 2010 (UTC)

Wikipedia deletes article "Natural Stress Relief"

Wikipedia has recently deleted its article on Natural Stress Relief, a form of deep meditation. In their reasons, they quoted policies on notability and the need for secondary (independent) sources. Note: the article was written by an enthusiastic NSR client and has not been edited by anyone directly connected to the NSR organization.

My response is to agree. I will focus on doing the best job I can to provide self-instructional materials to the world until notability is established and secondary sources are available. David Spector 03:58, 15 April 2010 (UTC)
