You can test out editing in the sandbox if you'd like. If you need help to get going, the forums is one option. That's also where we discuss policy and proposals. Asperger's sufferers
I don't really like this term. I happen to be an Aspie, and I've always views AS as gift, not a curse, as it's High Functioning Autism after all. How about changing it to "people with Asperger syndrome"?
(EDIT) There happens to be an already existing article on AS - Asperger syndrome. What is the point of this article? That article is almost complete. Plus, I haven't read your list of causes anywhere else, this is the first time I've heard of them. Also, none of your listed causes are applicable in my case. - Hi Minhaj, this book refers to 'people with Asperger's' as sufferers. The causes have been published by a reliable source - see the references. Also, the article is part of an Eduzendium project, so that is the 'point' of the article. Brandon Zubek 10:12, 2 April 2008 (CDT)
- Alright, I understand. However, I wish you won't label it as suffering. I find it a little offensive, as I initially fell into a depression upon being diagnosed, I later began to appreciate the merits. If other Aspies happen to read about it (without being diagnosed), and diagnose themselves, I'm certain they might too fall into depression being labeled as sufferers. - Brandon, you missed my point. Firstly, about the depression, it's more of bouts of depression. Back to the part about "sufferers". If you read this thread, you will notice that we're very glad to have been born differently. Please do change the label of us being sufferers, we don't consider ourselves as people who are in need of serious help, and I'm sure all of us would refuse an antidote if one existed.
