Welcome to the Citizendium! We hope you will contribute boldly and well. Here are pointers for a quick start. You'll probably want to know how to get started as an author. Just look at Getting Started for other helpful "startup" links, our help system and CZ:Home for the top menu of community pages. Be sure to stay abreast of events via Twitter. You can test out editing in the sandbox if you'd like. If you need help to get going, the forum is one option. That's also where we discuss policy and proposals. You can ask any administrator for help, too. Just put a note on their "talk" page. Again, welcome and have fun!

Great to see you here. Chip in at Evolution of cells too which is half-done. (Full or empty you choose) . Cheers David Tribe 18:33, 28 March 2007 (CDT)

Wikipedia imports

Hi. Thanks for contributing to CZ! Please do me a huge favor and stop uploading Wikipedia articles for now. Read [[1]], especially the second point. That's the goal here. Best, Stephen Ewen 21:06, 28 March 2007 (CDT)

NOTE: I above misinterpreted this user's actions per his editing summaries. He was correcting copyright info on pages with WP content. Stephen Ewen 04:17, 29 March 2007 (CDT)
Further on this subject, Benjamin, you've tagged several articles of mine as being from Wikipedia. First off, in the case of Fighting Fantasy, where does it use Wikipedia content? That article was written from scratch. Second, in the case of several others, the content was written by entirely by me. I don't mind it being tagged just to note that the material overlaps with WP but there is no need to credit WP with the content. I wrote it and can do what I like with it. —Joseph Rushton Wakeling 07:20, 29 March 2007 (CDT)
Still further on the subjest :-)
I guess tagging Wikipedia content is very important (So I do it too). But consider that checking the checkbox while editing is enough -- template is now outdated (I suggested deletion). Happy editing. --AlekStos 07:34, 29 March 2007 (CDT)
PS. BTW, to make the credit appear by checking the chekbox, one has to do some dummy edit, e.g. to add a space or newline somewhere. A.S.
Yes, per discussions with User:Stephen Ewen, that's the new plan of attack. Regards, Benjamin Lowe 09:10, 29 March 2007 (CDT)

Weightlifting image

Hi Benjamin, I couldn't find the original copyright info for the weightlifter image so I uploaded another from Creative Commons. I think it is documented appropriately, but do check it to make sure. I named it the same thing so I wouldn't have to change the picture in the Metabolism article. I think that is the last one from me, but if you find one, thanks in advance for bringing it to my attention. --Matt Innis (Talk) 14:10, 12 April 2007 (CDT)
