Special interests: analysis of mechanical systems, application of engineering and physics to feasibility, economics of everyday life, number theory, trying to make advanced technical subjects understandable. I believe many underlying technical principles are mastered only with great difficulty but some of these can be made plain to ordinary folks as results even if they couldn't follow all the development from first principles.
