Viktor Grobheiten teaches aesthetics of photography at the University of Munich. He is the author of several books on photography including the monumental "History of German photography". The latest work is titled "Amplification of Ego in German Expressionist Photography" (Munchen 2009). For a decade he has studied the Berlin Dada on the side of photography highlighting forgotten personalities like Baldemar Becker (see "Baldemar Becker und dada unbenkannt" Munchen 1999). Since 2010 he has been curator of the photographic archive of Foucault's Foundation in Naples. He is also working on a monograph dedicated to the great American photographer Russ Colombo.
