I am currently a senior at Cornell University, pursuing my B.S. in biological and environmental engineering. I have specific interest in biofuels production and modeling. I am interested in both the biosynthesis of fuels and the separation of the fuel for use later on. I am a student in a bioseparations class that addresses the separation of biological and chemical products using various methods. Different aspects include filtering, membranes, chromatography, centrifugation, etc. Separation chemistry is an important part of the chemical production and is typically a large portion of the costs.
