Mr. Jeffries is an attorney practicing intellectual property law. His experience includes prosecuting patent and trademark applications for software, industrial processing, electrical devices and materials processing; performing patent searches and drafting patentability opinions regarding software, industrial processing and electrical devices; drafting legal memoranda on numerous issues of state and federal law; drafting, reviewing and negotiating software licensing agreements, website development agreements, intellectual property license agreements, website terms of use and asset purchase agreements; and drafting legal memoranda regarding intellectual property law matters including patents, trademarks, trade secrets, state franchise law and contract law.

Mr. Jeffries also represents clients in a variety of real estate and business matters, including real estate sale contract and lease negotiations and documentation, zoning and development proceedings, entity formation, drafting or corporate bylaws, resolutions and other corporate documents, such as stock purchase agreements, promissory notes, guarantees, and security agreements, among others.

Prior to attending law school, Mr. Jeffries worked as a software development manager and senior database administrator for eight years. He was involved in designing and implementing many database and web-based software applications, utilizing technologies such as Java, XML and AJAX, among others. He also performed research in fundamental physics as an undergraduate, and published the results in a peer-reviewed journal, Physical Review Letters. This research led to his selection as a finalist for the Apker Award, given by the American Physical Society for excellence in research by an undergraduate.
