Sough
My Oxford dictionaries give both *sóff and = sòw pig for this word (Advanced Learners says it's a BrE/AmE difference), Collins only the latter. Not sure what to do; inclined to remove it from here and give it an entry in the S list. Ro Thorpe 14:24, 2 December 2011 (UTC)

- Probably all depends on which word the poet wants it to rhyme with. Ro Thorpe 16:49, 4 December 2011 (UTC)
- Now checked my own dictionaries. Webster 2003 and Chambers 2006 give both, and the latter also gives the Scots pronunciation sookh. Peter Jackson 11:26, 5 December 2011 (UTC)
- OK, I've put that one in, and I'll make an entry in the retro list too, just for completeness. Ro Thorpe 13:17, 5 December 2011 (UTC)
