hate or Hate? Ro Thorpe 00:42, 22 March 2009 (UTC)

Good question; it wasn't a typo but it still could change. When the technique was given a name in the specific Guantanamo guidance, I followed their capitalization as they used it as a proper name. Other unclassified or declassified names tend to be more "slangy" and less comprehensive, usually capitalized, such as "Hate of Comrades". I honestly don't remember how it was written in the classified manuals that I saw many decades ago, but every version seemed to change.
It's actually a silly term — what kind of hate is unemotional — but I wanted to use something for consistency. If capitalization is too jarring, I have no objection to changing it, but I was following a source. Howard C. Berkowitz 00:49, 22 March 2009 (UTC)

Yes, a tautology par excellence, and one that deserves, perhaps, to be capitalised: but that's for you to decide. Ro Thorpe 00:58, 22 March 2009 (UTC)
