video archive that could be utilized (e.g.: documentaries)

Dear all, hello. Just started.

I am interested about anything and everything regarding Cyprus, so hopefully I will start contributing into this subject (as well as in Agritourism and rural dwellings).

I am compiling an archive of Videos about / from Cyprus, including Documentaries that include information about history, culture etc. I also found some old valuable archive material, which I will convert, edit and put all of it online. I am putting ALL the videos I find (either those that I dig out from the web, or obtain from proprietors and archivers etc), into a project website, here: link.

Of course, for a start, Documentaries should be the most relevant, but in the future it would be challenging tackling Culture and the modern history of Cyprus (a subject of much debate, especially after 1974).

Although many of the videos cannot be considered completely unbiased about historical facts, some of them provide sufficient insight (at least of a certain point of view). Most of the material is in Greek (so unless an editor speaks Greek, they are not very handy), but there's also English content available as well). In anyways, "Categories" displays everything.

For now, that's all I have to say; it's a start. I don't know how useful will be the information I provide here; nevertheless reviewing a piece of information in a video may guide into cross-referencing it somewhere else that is a more credible source. One way or another.

Thank you. Best regards,

O.t.
