Retired?

I thought Kennedy fired the guy because somebody in the admin had to take responsibility for that fiasco, and Kennedy wasn't about to quit over it. Also this article says that Johnson replaced Dulles but that can't be correct as Dulles left the company in 1961 and Johnson didn't become pres until 1963. Russell D. Reasons for PropDel

This article does not make a good case for why this guy is important. It is badly written and rambles, is little more than a stub, and has not been improved for many years. There are no section divisions (not even enough information for such). This person was, like thousands of others, a well connected, high-level bureaucrat but not a leading figure to be remembered historically. Or maybe he is, but this article does not make that case. And, there is currently no one showing interest in further improving this article. Our policy at present is to eliminate such articles. Finally, the one reference points to the guy's AUTObiography (what he says about himself). So, no real references. Pat Palmer (talk) 17:50, 7 April 2024 (CDT)
