A definition or brief description of Pseudomonas aeruginosa.

Gram-negative, aerobic, rod-shaped bacterium which can cause disease in animals and humans, and is the most significant cause of hospital-acquired infections, particularly in predisposed patients with metabolic, hematologic, and malignant diseases.
