Operation CATCHPOLE

During the Second World War, in the Pacific Theater of Operations, Operation CATCHPOLE, the invasion of Eniwetok, had been scheduled for May 1944, but the operation was accelerated to mid-February. It was speeded up due to the success of Operation FLINTLOCK against Kwajalein. [1]
