Mind is a journal published by Oxford University Press on behalf of the Mind Association. It is one of the top academic journals in philosophy. It covers work in metaphysics, epistemology, logic, philosophy of language and philosophy of mind. The journal was founded in 1876 by Alexander Bain and edited by George Croom Robertson. Editors since then have been G. F. Stout, G. E. Moore, Gilbert Ryle, David Hamlyn, Simon Blackburn, Mark Sainsbury, Michael Martin and the current editor is Thomas Baldwin of the University of York. The journal receives around 400 submissions a year, and publishes four issues a year in January, April, July and October.
